Tibaldi by Montegrappa
Florence, 1916
Tibaldi was established in Florence in 1916 by Giuseppe Tibaldi, and became one of Italy's leading makers of writing instruments, producing until 1965.
The brand is led today by the Aquila family, who also co own the Montegrappa trademark. In 2004 Tibaldi's headquarters moved from Florence to Bassano del Grappa, where Montegrappa has worked since 1912.
As of December 2025, new production of TIbaldi products has been discontinued, and all available collections are exclusively sold through montegrappa.me
Tibaldi and Montegrappa
Two Italian names under one family, based in the same town. Montegrappa works in celluloid, silver and limited editions. Tibaldi works in resin and colour, and its current collections are built on pieces drawn from the Tibaldi archive.
For a collector it is a companion to a Montegrappa. For a first Italian pen it is a straightforward place to begin.

Five lines, all in resin. Fountain pens are offered in five nib widths: EF, F, M, B and BB.
