A new name was not the only thing to distinguish Venetian writing instruments made in the late 1920s. During a period of resurgence in the artisanal industry, daring industrial design typified many of the region’s finest exports. In this archival re-issue, subtle flourishes reveal traces of local enterprise and pride. Skilled machining and the frugal use of gold-plated brass elevate the form without compromising function.
