The Aramex Dubai to Muscat Offshore Race is the longest keelboat event in the region. The 30th edition of this historic event is set to start on February 4th, 2023. Montegrappa marks its second year as one of the co-sponsors of the venturesome race.
A classic passage event covering 360 nautical miles, the course takes the boats from the relatively shallow waters of the Arabian Gulf to the deep waters of the Indian Ocean, passing through the famous Straits of Hormuz, with the final leg taking a south easterly route across the Gulf to Muscat, the capital city of the Sultanate of Oman.
On the occasion of the 30th edition of Aramex D2M race, Montegrapppa is honoured to offer piece no. 30/300 of the Ocean Collection Solidarity Edition, Prince Albert Foundation Pen, to the sailors first to finish the race.
The breathtaking debut collaboration between Montegrappa and the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation showcases the fragile beauty of the ocean and magnifies its desperate plight.
Crafted from sterling silver, celluloid and cubic zirconia, the exclusive Solidarity Edition combines regal presence with a crucial message: that to save our planet, we must have the courage to confront reality.
- Detailed cap and barrel engravings on satinised silver contrast our vision for ocean health with the tragic reality. Together, they symbolise a resolve to stem the flow of waste and restore marine habitats
- Neptune’s trident is a pocket-sized pledge to defend the oceans. Cast from sterling silver, it anchors a rare, deep-profile cap that calls attention to a perilous environmental imbalance
- Parabolic cubic zirconia endpieces invite us to peer beneath the surface. Each magnifies a point of value: the Foundation’s valuable work, and the edition number (300 pieces in two writing modes).
- Every writing instrument is housed in a deluxe wooden case, concealed beneath a plaque calling for common action on ocean health.
To save our planet, we must have the courage to see the things that are in plain sight. Protect the oceans!
