The Year 2018 marks 100 years since the birth of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the UAE, who passed away in 2004.
To commemorate this historic national occasion, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates has declared that 2018 will officially be known in the UAE as the Year of Zayed, a nation-wide initiative, to highlight the UAE founding father’s unparalleled role in establishing the UAE Federation, his local, regional and international achievements as well as his values and principles.

The rollerball and marker pens are made of black resin accented with palladium plated trim, while the fountain pen is made of Rose Gold with an 18K solid gold nib.

This number is to mark 100 years since the birth of the Late Sheikh Zayed and to celebrate the next 100 years of hope and prosperity for the United Arab Emirates.
